4-star shooting guard, No. 1 player in Oklahoma, commits to Auburn
Auburn added to its 2021 recruiting class on Thursday as shooting guard Trey Alexander announced his commitment to the Tigers. He is the 2nd player to commit to the program in this recruiting cycle.
A 6-foot-4, 185-pounder from Oklahoma City, Alexander is rated by 247Sports as a 4-star recruit and is considered the No. 1 player in the Sooner State, as well as the nation’s No. 11 player at his position. He joins 5-star power forward Jabari Smith, the No. 5 player in the country, in the 2021 signing class.
Despite Bruce Pearl’s run of success on the recruiting trail since arriving on The Plains, the Tigers are not expected to enjoy much success this year, being picked 7th by the league’s media.
The NCAA’s early signing period for basketball started Wednesday and runs until Nov. 18.
