Auburn AD Allen Greene issues support for Bruce Pearl’s future at the school
If Auburn’s AD has his way, Bruce Pearl will be the face of the school’s basketball program next season.
Despite the FBI’s ongoing investigation into the Auburn basketball program, Allen Greene issued some strong words of support for Pearl recently during his appearance on Auburn’s Tiger Talk Podcast. According to Greene, Pearl has been working with the school during the investigation process — something Auburn’s basketball coach refused to do at one point.
Transcription of the podcast comes from ESPN’s Jeff Goodman:
Auburn AD Allen Greene on podcast about FBI investigation and Bruce Pearl: "The FBI investigation is a long process. We’re going through that process to make sure that we, as a university, are doing what it is that we’re supposed to do to comply. (cont’d)

Allen Greene (cont’d): "Coach Pearl has been excellent in that regard and I look forward to continuing to work with him as we continue to do the very best to support he, his staff and the student athletes of Auburn University.” https://t.co/XJPL2RvYX0

What action or knowledge the FBI have on Auburn may be unknown at this point but it must be nice for Pearl to know the school’s leadership currently has his back. Coming off one of the best regular seasons in school history certainly only helps Pearl’s standing at Auburn.
