After a season at Auburn, Ro Torrence will look at continuing his college football career elsewhere. Torrence shared the news on his Twitter account, shortly after the news was broken by Matt Zenitz of On3.

A former JUCO standout, Torrence transferred to Auburn ahead of the 2021 season. From Bessemer, Alabama, Hutchinson played at Hutchinson Community College in Kansas before joining the Tigers. Torrence was the 2020-21 NJCAA and KJCCC Defensive Player of the Year, helping Hutchinson to a national title, earning first-team JUCO All-America honors. As a JUCO transfer, Torrence initially committed to Tennessee. He also had scholarship offers from East Carolina, Utah State and Washington State.

At Auburn, Torrence played in 10 games this past season. He recorded 5 tackles, a pass breakup and a forced fumble.

Torrence is the second Tiger of the day to enter the transfer portal. Quarterback Dematrius Davis announced he was entering the portal earlier Wednesday afternoon.
