The Auburn Tigers didn’t have the season they anticipated heading into 2018, finishing a disappointing 7-5 in the regular season.
Still, they’re heading to a bowl game, and on Sunday, that bowl destination and opponent was revealed.
On Sunday afternoon, the Tigers discovered they will be heading to Nashville to take on Purdue — a Big Ten squad — at the Music City Bowl:
This is an interesting matchup, as Purdue lost to high-flying Missouri earlier this year in the middle of a slow start. Can the Auburn Tigers send the Boilermakers to a 0-2 record against SEC Tigers this year?
The Music City Bowl kicks off at 1:30 p.m. Eastern time on Dec. 28 and can be seen on ESPN.

Nice…we need to win this
LOL.
For a team with 5 losses, you get stuck in a lousy bowl game against a crappy 6-6 team. Take your heavy coat as it will likely be cold at this one. LOL
We need to win but prolly won’t. If auburn don’t then gus will be 1-5 in bowls.
This is a critical game for Auburn because of the chaos surrounding Malzhan and the future..a loss here is unthinkable. I actually feel for Tiger fans cause it’s not easy enduring such tribulations, not to mention the roller coaster it’s been past few years. I am sure all Auburn fans have greyed a little more due to the stress.
Not really, he’s unfortunately got another year no matter what. If next he doesn’t win, he gone..
