Cam Newton to the student section? Former Auburn QB polls fans ahead of Georgia game

Cam Newton appears to be back on The Plains this weekend. And he may even hang out with some Auburn students during his time there.
Prior to the Tigers’ home game against Georgia on Saturday, Newton posted a poll on his Instagram story. His question: should he watch this huge matchup from the student section at Jordan-Hare Stadium?
It seems Newton’s fans want this to happen, considering that 95 percent of people had voted yes about an hour before kickoff. And who wouldn’t want to watch an Auburn game with one of the best players in school history?
Newton played only 1 season for the Tigers, but it was a special year. That’s because he led them to a perfect 14-0 season and a national championship, while he also won the Heisman Trophy.
Now, Newton is currently an NFL free agent after he got released by the New England Patriots prior to the start of the 2021 season. At some point, he may get another opportunity. But for now, he’s using his free time to watch his former school in action.
Auburn and Georgia are kicking off on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
