The New England Patriots made some headlines on Sunday when they signed former Auburn star QB Cam Newton.

Almost across the board, people praised the decision by Bill Belichick and the Patriots to take a flyer on the former Heisman Trophy winner and 2015 NFL MVP.

But, not everyone loves the move. As you can see below, FOX Sports host Colin Cowherd explains why he doesn’t think Newton is a fit in New England:

“I don’t think Cam is going to take New England to a special place,” he said. “I do think they’re going to go from a boring 6-10 team with Jarrett Stidham to a more dynamic 8-8 and fun to watch.”

Can Newton and the Patriots prove Cowherd wrong? We’ll find out this fall.
