Auburn will once again be without one of its top linebackers for its Iron Bowl matchup at Alabama on Saturday.

On Tuesday, Tigers head coach Gus Malzahn announced that senior linebacker K.J. Britt is still not medically cleared to return and will miss this week’s game. Britt suffered a thumb injury during Auburn’s loss at Georgia on Oct. 3, and he underwent surgery the following week.

Britt has 23 tackles this season, but he’s only played in two games due to injury.

Malzahn also said that true freshman running back Tank Bigsby is “still questionable.” Bigsby exited Auburn’s win over Tennessee this past Saturday with a lower-body injury.

“Hopefully, by the end of this week, we’ll have an idea whether he’ll be able to go or not,” Malzahn told the media.

Offensive linemen Alec Jackson and Brodarious Hamm are also both dealing with injuries, and it’s unclear whether either will play in the Iron Bowl.

“There’s no secret right now we’ve been beat up,” Malzahn told the media. “We’ll see if we can get our tackles back. We don’t know right now.”

Auburn and Alabama are set to kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday on CBS.
