Jarquez Hunter made an official decision regarding his 2024 season Friday afternoon.

The talented Tigers running back announced in a video that he will return for a senior season on The Plains. Hunter led the Tigers in rushing this past season, finishing with 159 carries for 909 yards and 7 touchdowns. He’s a capable receiver in short yardage as well and finished with 18 receptions for 118 yards.

Hunter and Auburn dropped the following video confirming his intentions to return for another year on social media Friday:

This is some good news for the Tiger’ RB room after running backs coach Cadillac Williams announced this past week that he would resign from his position at Auburn.

Hunter will join the likes of current Auburn RBs Damari Alston, Brian Battie and Jeremiah Cobb on the 2024 team. Once again, he’s likely to be the primary back and could be one of the better running backs in the conference.
