It’s official: The Auburn Tigers are headed to the Sugar Bowl to take on the Big 12 Champion Oklahoma Sooners.

Following Florida’s blowout loss to Alabama in the SEC Championship, the table was set for the Tigers to get a Sugar Bowl berth.

Auburn last played in the Sugar Bowl on Jan. 3, 2005, when the Tigers beat Virginia Tech 16-13. That was the same year the Tigers were left out of the BCS National Championship Game and finished undefeated.

Oklahoma beat Oklahoma State 38-20, which was the de-facto conference title game in Norman, Oklahoma.

The Sugar Bowl is set for January 2 in New Orleans.
