Report: Auburn poaching a pair of key offensive assistants from South Carolina

New Auburn coach Bryan Harsin is putting together his first staff with the Tigers, and he’s already creating a new rivalry for Auburn.
Per reports, Harsin has been targeting a pair of key offensive assistants from the South Carolina Gamecocks, who are entering Year 1 under new coach Shane Beamer.
Per SEC Network analyst Cole Cubelic, Auburn is expected to finalize deals with OC Mike Bobo and OL coach Will Friend soon:
Auburn will finalize Mike Bobo as the offensive coordinator & Will Friend as the offensive line coach very soon.

Bobo served as Will Muschamp’s OC at South Carolina in 2020. Then, Beamer elected to keep him on the staff for 2021. Instead, it seems he’ll head to The Plains.
Meanwhile, Friend just came over from Tennessee recently. So, he’ll presumably leave the Gamecocks before he ever coaches a game with the team.
We’ll see what other hires Harsin makes moving forward, but for now, Beamer can’t be too happy with him.
