Zac Etheridge appeared to suffer an injury on Auburn’s sideline with about 2:30 remaining in the Tigers’ loss at Mississippi State on Saturday night, but the assistant coach reported that all is well.

Rushing down the sideline to get an emergency timeout, Etheridge appeared to pull a hamstring. However, he wrote on social media after the game that it wasn’t a pulled hamstring. “That’s what I get for feeling young,” he wrote with a laughing emoji. “I’ll be 100% for next Saturday night at JHS. Auburn Family – we need you there!”

Etheridge appeared to embody Auburn’s new-found grit as he also wrote, “I’ll continue to give everything I have to SERVE this team! They fight, I fight!”

Despite the loss, Auburn appeared to show plenty of resolve and fight as the Tigers battled back from several deficits to force overtime in Starkville.
