Trevor Lawrence returns zinger to Rivals’ 2015 recruiting video troll attempt

Former Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence had his Pro Day on Friday morning as he continues to progress toward likely being the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft this year to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Rivals made a troll attempt on Twitter by replaying a 2015 recruiting video of Lawrence misfiring on net targets when Lawrence was a prospect. Lawrence then returned fire. “Ayyyyye chill out I’ve never been a net thrower guy,” Lawrence wrote on Twitter.
Earlier Friday, Lawrence reflected on his Pro Day.
“It was a good day considering it was kind of short notice,” Lawrence said after his Pro Day, per 247Sports. “Prepared for a week probably, back in California and then back in South Carolina to put the finishing touches on, get with the guys, get some timing down. I was pretty pleased with it obviously like anything, there are some throws that you wish you could have back and hit a little better but as a whole it was a good day. The receivers ran really well. I appreciate those guys…I thought it was a good day.”
Lawrence’s workout was moved up so he could get ready for surgery on his non-throwing shoulder ahead of the NFL season.
Ayyyyye chill out I’ve never been a big net thrower guy 😂😂😂😭 appreciate the love. https://t.co/LCPjrZxDLl
