LSU-Arkansas baseball series opener moved up due to weather
LSU and Arkansas are set to meet Friday-Sunday in one of the biggest series of the 2023 college baseball season. The top-5 SEC showdown is getting an earlier start than previously scheduled due to the latest weather forecast in Baton Rouge.
Friday’s series opener had been scheduled for 7 p.m. CT/8 p.m. ET. Due to the forecast, however, the series opener will now be played at noon local time (1 p.m. ET).

Unfortunately, the new time for the first pitch has also altered broadcast plans. Game 1 was originally scheduled to be shown on ESPN2. It will now be streamed on SEC Network+.
The good news is that Games 2 and Game 3 are currently scheduled for national broadcasts on SEC Network (Saturday, 2 p.m. ET) and ESPN (Sunday, 1 p.m. ET). LSU warns, though, that the weather could potentially impact Saturday and Sunday’s games.
No. 5 Arkansas is currently atop the SEC West standings with a 3-0 mark in conference play and 19-2 overall record. No. 1 LSU enters the series 19-2 overall and 2-1 in SEC play.
