Jeff Brohm Coaching Bio
Brohm wasn’t just another coach hired to win football games when he returned to Louisville in December 2022. He was a prodigal son being counted on to recapture the glory of his playing days.
A former Cardinals quarterback who was mentored as both a player and a young coach by Hall of Famer Howard Schnellenberger, Brohm was a popular choice to fill the opening created by Eli Drinkwitz’s departure after successful tenures at Western Michigan and Purdue.
Two seasons into his tenure, Brohm has delivered on the promise. He followed up a 10-win debut that included a trip to the ACC Championship Game in his debut season by going 9-4 in 2024, including a dominating win against Clemson at Death Valley.
The key to his immediate success has been his deft use of the transfer portal. Brohm’s first team was stocked by the addition of 25 veteran free agents. When the majority of them left, he went out and found 27 more additions to replace them.
