ESPN’s FPI predicts the outcome of Georgia-Notre Dame Sugar Bowl CFP quarterfinal

ESPN’s FPI has been making predictions all throughout the 2024 college football season, and that hasn’t changed as the College Football Playoff got underway this weekend,
The predictions will continue into the CFP quarterfinals as No. 7 Notre Dame will be taking on No. 2 Georgia after the 27-17 victory against Indiana on Friday.
Even though Georgia is the higher seed in the CFP, Notre Dame is looked at as the team that is expected to win. ESPN’s FPI is giving the Fighting Irish just under a 54% chance to win this game, leaving the Bulldogs with only a 46.2% chance.
The quarterfinal matchup will take place on New Year’s Day at 8:45 p.m. ET on ESPN at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
Notre Dame took care of business in the first round CFP win against Indiana, as the Fighting Irish were in control of the game from the very beginning. Running back Jeremiyah Love set the place on fire with a 98-yard rushing touchdown to get the day started.
Georgia enters this game with some questions at the quarterback, as Carson Beck is going to miss the game with an injury, forcing Gunnar Stockton in as the quarterback for this game.
