Media reacts to news of Trevor Lawrence's positive test
The college football world has been rocked again by a positive test for COVID-19. This time, Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence has tested positive.
The news was first reported by NFL media insiders and later confirmed by Clemson in a statement issued by Tigers head coach Dabo Swinney.
On Twitter, media members immediately began to discuss of Lawrence’s absence for at least No. 1 Clemson’s game against Boston College. Depending on when exactly Lawrence tested positive and begin 10-day isolation, he could potentially the Tigers’ game against No. 4 Notre Dame next weekend.
The College Football Playoff, Heisman Trophy race and NFL Draft could all be impacted depending on how long Lawrence is out.
Here’s a small sample of media members’ reactions:
1. Hopefully Lawrence is OK.
2. However long Lawrence is out, Clemson can turn to 5-star DJ Uiagalelei.
3. Clemson plays at Notre Dame in nine days, which looms large. Then a bye.
4. This probably has more implications for the Heisman than the playoff. https://t.co/1NblCvNcip

Clemson at Notre Dame is nine days from today.
A positive test for COVID-19 requires 10 days of isolation, at minimum.

Unfortunately, for Clemson they have to rely on…
Oh, a five-star who was the USA Today offensive high school player of the year.

DJ Uiagalelei going to get some real experience sooner than we thought. Unfortunate news out of Clemson. https://t.co/LeuFn9frzg

Imagine Trevor Lawrence goes down for your team, and you're thinking "How can we replace him?"
How about with this legitimate human tank with a Howitzer capable of throwing a 95 MPH fastball attached to his torso?
