How old do you have to be to play PrizePicks?
In order to get started on PrizePicks, you must be at least 18 years of age and located in one of the legal states or provinces mentioned above. A couple of states have different rules, as players must be at least 21 years of age in Arizona, Massachusetts, and Virginia. Players must be 19+ in Alabama and Colorado.
When you sign up for a PrizePicks account (more on that at the end of this page), you’ll have to enter some personal information, including some that verifies your age. So if you’re in Arizona or Massachusetts, for example, you’ll just need to prove that you’re at least 21 years old.
Which states have different rules for PrizePicks?
Not every state has the same rules when it comes to playing PrizePicks’ popular DFS contests. For example, in Alabama, you are only allowed to play “combo” squares. As we’ll detail below, those are contests that combine 2 players’ stats into one projection.
In Illinois, PrizePicks users cannot pick projections for any college athlete who plays at a university within the state of Illinois borders.
That’s lenient compared to Arkansas, Massachusetts, New York and Vermont, where PrizePicks players aren’t allowed to make picks involving collegiate athletics at all.
And in Colorado, players must have at least 4 picks in every contest, and those picks must be either “fantasy points” stats or the “combo” squares mentioned above.

Is there a minimum entry fee on PrizePicks?
Yes, you must play contests with a minimum $5 entry fee on PrizePicks. That’s a bit more than the industry standard. Most DFS apps, including Underdog and Sleeper, only require users to post $1 as a minimum entry fee. DraftKings Fantasy even has contests available for as little as 10 cents!
So if you are looking for apps with smaller entry fees, PrizePicks might not be for you. But if you have the bankroll to spend at least $5 for each entry, PrizePicks is one of the top apps on the market in the entire DFS space.
PrizePicks Deposits and Withdrawals
