PTHERICKER, I couldn't agree more. When criminal-type player behavior takes advantage of a situation to commit cowardly acts of violence, it cannot be ignored. These gang-like players have no place in the sport. Their behavior should not be given a pass just because it took place on a football field. Investigate, bring charges/sanctions, and enforce the rulings. Above all, don't sweep things under the rug, fans don't have that short of a memory. We expect justice. And, of course, it doesn't matter which universities are involved. The teams affected will still be able to be successful with the trouble-makers no longer on the team! The coaches don't get passes either.
