Auburn is a much bigger rivalry game for Mississippi State than LSU. ALWAYS seem to be close games that define both teams seasons not to mention the Cam Newton Saga.

I don't have a problem with you picking the tide at all at home and I think anyone logical will admit it absolutely should be a close game. . The only issue I have is the "MSU doesn't have Bama depth" . . On the entire 85 man roster you are absolutely correct in the 30-35 that actually see the field this State team has every bit the quality of players.

I'm a Richt fan but he shouldn't get "extra credit" for overcoming bonehead player decisions. It's been a trademark of his teams for whatever reason. I believe wholeheartedly Mark tries to run a clean program but bad apples keep trying to ruin it for some reason? UGA is as 4-5 star loaded as any team in the country. I'm biased but I agree Mullen by far since this staff has turned 2 star HS QB's into All-American LB's etc, etc. . Ole Bucky Freeze deserves credit I must admit because while he had one loaded crootin' class he is winning at a high level with much less depth than most BUT that may be about to show it's ugly head going forward. Gus is a schematic genius that's about the only way to look at that situation IMO. Miles has someone managed regain respectability with a very, very young & even undersized LSU team that was hit HARD by early NFL entries. Saban hasn't done his usual great job IMO . . Still not so Bama is so "vastly improved" I think I would place Richt in the 4-5 spot & take ole Nicky out.

As a rival fan with obvious bias I honestly don't have a problem with them throwing this up. My only issue was when an MSU player was flagged for doing the same because it was seen as "taunting". In person I didn't see anything. Watching the replay I see a little but of extension of the arm but I still hate the call. LOVED the end results but don't like the call. . Line the players up old school playground style and you would be crazy not to pick more from the Mississippi State side. LSU will always have "talent" but combine ability with experience and Hail State is the better squad. It will come down to coaching and breaking history.
