I've been to every SEC stadium as an away fan except for Miss ST, Ole' Miss, Tenn, and Auburn. The ONLY time my group has ever caught any flack was in South Carolina and honestly, thanks to Sheldon Richardson's "old man football" comment, we probably deserved it. But that was one drunk frat boy running his mouth...
Granted, I don't think Mizzou fans get much trouble because there's not a long history.
That said, the worst fans ever are IMO are Arizona State. Our trip out there was a warzone. Even the cops were bad.
You know what I don't understand? Why anyone would build their states largest city below sea level.

Personally, after traveling to a lot of SEC away games, we aren't that culturally different. I'd say Florida is more culturally different than us compared to other Southern states. I'd even venture to say we're more "southern" than FLA(which I assume is why no one likes them). That said, the SEC has been around a long long time and we shouldn't expect to be accepted immediately. Like I said above, forget other teams fans respecting usand just win games. I will say though that I love the passion in the SEC. Big 12 is a joke compared to it.
Why do we feel we need the respect of other SEC fans? F'em! If you need the respect of delusional Vol fans(or as I call them the Nebraska fans of the South) who still think THEY have respect nationally you need to grow up. Same goes for Georgia. I don't understand why we need respect from a fanbase who can't do math and thinks they should've been in the champ game. Not to mention forget who beat them at their place last year even after a cheap shot on our QB. As far as a lack of national respect, I just don't see it. I think we've received the proper amount of run this week based on winning a down division. We took our lumps against Bama, time to move on and get ready for another 10 win year next season.
