Bill...Ole Miss had Vandy, LA-Lafayette, and Memphis before they played Bama, how is that not an easy beginning schedule? State plays UK every year, and they still have to play Ole Miss and Bama. State had a harder beginning schedule than Ole Miss....I don't see how the schedule was easier than most in the division.

You must have forgotten to quote from hailstate.com that the said "The most popular legend is that during a home football game between State and arch-rival Mississippi, a jersey cow wandered onto the playing field. Mississippi State soundly whipped the Rebels that Saturday, and State College students immediately adopted the cow as a good luck charm. Students are said to have continued bringing a cow to football games for a while, until the practice was eventually discontinued in favor of bringing just the cow's bell." ....which is what the video is talking about.

Ummmmm...yea Cowbell Yell existed before Texas A&M even joined the SEC. Just cuz you are just now hearing about it does not mean it did not exist.

I think that your first statement is unfair and untrue. I am a Mississippi State alumni and I went to school with Day at State. What he did was definitely on purpose, and I know plenty of State fans and alum who feel the same way.

I guess he's supporting his player because the evidence was indisputable in this case, but I would have a little more respect for him if he had punished Day himself or say that we don't play that type of football instead of just acting like what Day did was no big deal.

Mississippi State has a Dawg Walk too so I understand why they did not use that....but I agree with you about Texas A&M
