A good number of you don't understand how the game is played. It only takes a good Agent to float a story (rumor) that some disgruntled fan base is interested in hiring your coach away. For his client, this works out two ways. One, if he is interested in moving up, will get his name out there and see if other suitors might be interested. Two, this scares the hell out of the current schools leadership and fan base. OH, CRAP! We've got to bump his pay by at least 200% to keep our Coach! Now the one that really makes the money is the agent. Because he's going to get his money either way, oh and he probably represents the coach that will take his guys place.
