I believe he was ejected for consecutive roughing the passer penalties.
That’s a good point about Auburn putting themselves in winning situations. Auburn probably should have lost to Arkansas but you can’t ignore that the call didn’t put them in a position to kick the field goal which seems to go unnoticed by most.
Kind of hard to say Auburn only has a slight advantage when you look at the numbers. Offense: Auburn leads the matchup in Total yards, Pass yards, Rush yards, Points scored, 3rd down %, and Turnovers. Defense: Auburn leads matchup in Yards allowed, Pass yards allowed, Rush yards allowed, Points allowed, and Turnovers. The only stat Tennessee is over Auburn in is 3rd down Defense. Sounds like ALOT more than a slight advantage but you keep telling yourself whatever makes you feel better.
I bet she’s talking about Lane throwing the playbook into the stands. She’s probably mad she didn’t get to keep it when the staffer went to get it!
Lol, love the “Stripes” reference. They don’t make them like that anymore.
Classless is a subjective view. They’re making a bid for a playoff run. They don’t have the strength of schedule to make it so they have to dominate games in this fashion if they hope to make it.
Similar to the idea I had which was: Move Alabama vs LSU to 11/21 Move Alabama vs Kentucky to 12/12 Move LSU vs Arkansas to 12/19 Either gives same result.
Provided that the remaining schedule isn’t hindered further, there’s an easy fix for the scheduling issues as the games stand right now. Reschedule Alabama vs LSU to 11/21 Reschedule Alabama vs Kentucky to 12/12 Reschedule LSU vs Arkansas to 12/19 Rest of the teams should have no issues rescheduling postponed games to open dates on 12/12 & 12/19

Easy fix: Move Alabama vs Kentucky to 12/12 Move LSU vs Arkansas to 12/19 Play Alabama vs LSU 11/14 The rest should have enough open periods with playing on the day of the SECCG. There problem solved!
I hate advocating for the barners but we have to be real here. Ole Miss had more of an impact in their own loss than one bad call. They still had the lead after the call and couldn’t hold it or extend it, nor could they stop Auburns drive for 8 that would have potentially tied the game had that call went their way. This is almost as bad as Kentucky thinking they got robbed when they just gave up in the entire 2nd half. Auburn fans are completely delusional, but I would say it’s delusional to suggest they should be 1-4 or even 0-5. They should be 2-3 but they outplayed Kentucky and Ole Miss.
Idk, they sure showed up against UGA in 2017 with a blowout win in regulation play. UGA won the rematch of course, but that first game was rough. Still, UGA has dominated the series in recent years.
If it was a bad call in the last seconds like the Arkansas game, that’s one thing. But that call came before OM held Auburn to a 3 and out while in the lead, forcing a punt with 3min left. OM had the opportunity to milk the clock and didn’t. Then and a chance to stop Auburns final drive and couldn’t. Then had a chance to tie the game and couldn’t. Idk about you, but with both teams having 2 possessions after the call, sure looks like OM just shot themselves in the foot. Now, if that call would have given OM a lead that Auburn couldn’t have at least tied the again with, that’s another story, but both teams were very much in the game after that call, Auburn just clearly wanted it more than OM.
Arkansas got robbed, but Ole Miss didn’t. Don’t forget that OM was still in the lead when this call came and held Auburn to a 3 and out right after it and got the ball back in good field position with 3min left. They didn’t capitalize on the opportunity and lost the game due to poor clock management and failing to stop Auburns TD drive to take the lead. They even had time to tie the game after that and threw a pick with 3s left. We all like bashing on Auburn but this time the loss is on Ole Miss, not the refs.
Since I can’t post a link I’ll quote it. “ One East representative and one West representative will meet at the Georgia Dome on Dec. 6 for the SEC Championship. To get there the easy way, one team must separate from the rest of the pack in their respective division whether that’s with an unblemished 8-0 conference record or one loss, as long as they’re the only team in the seven-team division with that record” Now, because of the all Conference schedule, I would imagine that if you go 7-0 in your respective division, you lead that division and would be the top team in that division, even with losses to the other division. At least that’s how I’m interpreting it.
I’m just saying I’m reading this from 2 different sources, tried to post a link but still awaiting moderation. If I’m wrong, then the rule book changed recently. Either way it’s a pointless arguement because I doubt Auburn wins out, much less wins the IB in Tuscaloosa.
Hey you never know, look at the trick play magic they pulled on us last year to escape with a win.
I will agree Auburn has been getting VERY VERY VERY lucky with calls, but OM did not lose because of a call. You got outplayed when it mattered. Ole Miss had the lead and time to win the game and didn’t.
And by cross-over I mean west to east, not different conferences
Cross-over conference games do not play a part in divisional races unless there is a tie in the division. I tried to post a link that explains this but it says awaiting moderation even tho it’s an SDS link.
@gaterpyp if he really thinks the auburn will beat Bama this year the way both teams are playing, then yeah I’m trolling. But I’m not trolling that he is right and division play tops conference play.
Not trying to jump into y’all’s argument which has been entertaining but Aubie87 is right. If, and that’s a big if, Auburn wins out an wins the IB, they would be above Bama in the division. But good luck with that wishful thinking this year.
