The scribbling class has been predicting the downfall of Alabama football and Fox News for the past several years. In the case of Alabama football, it has been going on since Georgia Tech and Tulane were in the SEC. What Saban does is not too hard to figure out. Control the line of scrimmage, win Tackle to Tackle, play a nasty defensive game and recruit to those goals. You don't have to be a great quarterback to get a national championship ring collection in the Bama system, but you have to be coachable and be willing to put the work in. Its not hard to figure out, but its difficult to execute. The trick is to recruit those people who are willing to put the work in.

How about 38 against Mich State.

Kiffin was one of the great hires in college athletics. It is the kind of thing that should be studied in business schools. This is probably not the most talented Alabama football team that Saban has had, but it may end up being just about the best. and Coach Kiffin has had a lot to do with that. He is likely wondering when the "sporting press" is going to quit questioning the hire.
