The only reason he's had this "rise" to the top is because the rest of the Auburn players are young, or they're too bad to even mention. Who else can you even mention on that team? The QB that ended up as a wide receiver, or the new QB that's played only a few games. He only got 92 yards in the Kentucky game. No, he's too old for putting up those lousy numbers. I'm not going to compare him to Mark Ingram because that'd be unfair, I'm not going to compare him to Leonard Fournette because he's not that level or player. I'll compare him to Tra Carson. A&M doesn't really have much of a running game, but Tra Carson is only .4 behind Peyton Barber. He's not impressive at all, nothing about Auburn is impressive this year.

Yeah, Peyton Barber is a beast! He averages 4.8 yards per carry. He's gets about 100 yards per game too, while the other premier running backs in the sec are only doing 150+. Are you barners serious? You're looking for a reason this season hasn't been a total disappointment? Peyton Barber is a mediocre sophomore. His numbers wouldn't be all that impressive as a true freshman.

Well, it's not like Alabama has beaten a ranked team, like Auburn did! Oh wait, I got it backwards. Well at least JJ has lived up to his Heisman off season hype! So tell us how does Auburn even deserved to be ranked in the coaches poll. It sounds like Auburn might be a little overrated at number 25.

I don't even know what to say to you people. I've congratulated every Ole Miss fan I know, but Jesus you guys act like you just turned lead into gold. You won a very crazy football game. There is no reason that Alabama should have even had a chance after that terrible first half. I watched the whole game and herbstreit never said anything insulting towards Ole Miss. He did say that he didn't agree with the line of scrimmage rule, which is pretty dumb, but oh well. You guys are acting like the rest of the conferences when they start talking about how ESPN is sec biased.

I give them complete credit! Ole Miss played well the whole game, but there were some things that just didn't bounce in favor of Alabama. That's the way the game goes. Congratulations!

The high snap, hail Mary touchdown didn't help either, but damn what a play! You can't do anything about that. The tide showed some tenacity and didn't give up. I'm so proud of them and so mad at the fans that left early!

I don't think teams should drop because of injuries. Last year Ohio State had some bad luck with quarterbacks getting hurt and they won the first college football playoff. I obviously don't like that they won, but they did it with a banged up team. The eyes test is resonable, but you also have to consider how teams match up. Some teams are going to match-up poorly against others. The 09 Alabama squad had a thriller with a 6-7 Tennessee and they went on to win a championship. A win isn't always pretty, but I'm not into the idea of punishing a team for winning. As an Alabama fan, I don't want them to drop Auburn, even if they were exposed as a pretender.
