What you say is interesting, but Steele's head coaching experience is really ugly. Peterson appears to me to be a coach who can adapt as he needs to. That said, there are plenty of young coaches from places like UCF, Memphis, etc. that would seem way better than Bob Stoops.
Why not go after an active coach like Chris Peterson? He's making $4.75 mill this year and tops out in his 7th year at $5.825 million. AU can beat that, and the cost of living is lower here. :)
Why would Auburn even consider Bob Stoops? He was way done when he left Okla.
