Why do these ADs approve these ridiculous contracts and guaranteed money? These historic salaries are a huge reason for the rising cost to attend the games. I would like to see all coaches have the same contract. All coaches should have the same base salary but can separate themselves with bonuses. Then the schools won't be paying for underperforming. I don't see a problem with coaches making $10 mil a year as long as they're earning it.

I'm amazed that so many don't understand the entire targeting rule. It wasn't the helmet to helmet contact. That only applies to a defenseless player. The targeting was the defender lowered his head and used the crown of his helmet. The rule is for the safety of the tackler. He could've easily injured himself critically or worse. Either way, missed calls happen in every game to both teams. The game was played and won on the field. A terrific game at that.

Fans can say Arky isn't any good if they want to. Arky is moving in the right direction but you have to learn to be great. Freeze should look at it like this. Would he suspend a 3rd stringer? I hated to hear this about him. I didn't like seeing him get trashed on the different sites. I would love to see him in the Sugar Bowl but...... You have to suspend him or you set a precedent that you can get in trouble and pay a small price.

Firing Fuller started that downfall. When he was fired alot of recruits left with him. Dooley definitely proved to be a bad hire tho. He did nothing to stop the slide at all.

I love the intensity. Everybody wants things toned down and politically correct. That's why we've become a Nation of sissies. We need more hard asses teaching discipline to these young men.
