I should have skipped by the Dan Mullen comment part. Between the two of them, how did they not consider the comment as a dig at his predecessor McElwain rather than purely dismissive of Georgia? Here's the quote: “I mean, two out of the last three years we’ve still been to the SEC Championship Game. So even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while.” He said it in such a way as to say that even in the pitiful shape Florida was in, they "still" reached the SEC title game two of the last three years. McElwain is the blind squirrel and he's trash talking Georgia for only having one year of success and implying they might be a blind squirrel as well. He's not comparing Florida making it to the SEC championship game as superior to Georgia winning it. I don't know if I'm over explaining this. It really doesn't require some next level thinking. In seven minutes of thinking about this, I don't know how this thought wasn't stumbled upon by accident if nothing else. At least considered as a possibility.
