Coach Pat Dye was a hard-ass, developer of men. He pushed you past throwing up your guts and shaking with exhaustion. His players found out that they could go beyond their perceived breaking point. As much as he was a hard-ass, he was a softy with emotion when knew his boys turned into men and overcame the adversity to be winners and being a winner isn't necessarily tied to winning games. He cared and loved his players; he loved Auburn and he represented what it took to be an Auburn Man/Woman. He built character in his players and when he realized they had achieved their goals, that made him cry with joy. RIP Coach Dye. Your legacy will live on in many ways.
