I really feel like recruiting would have got a nice boost if that would have happened and could have gave D a little bit of edginess..
Somewhat of same scenario this season as well, if I'm not mistaken. Shea patterson was related to or affiliated with someone on the coaching staff. Benito Jones is a local boy who chose Ole Miss early. You get 2 5* studs pitching success in 3 years; that alone is a recipe for big time classes I'd think. You are, however, a bit ridiculous about State fans. Starkville isn't a bad place. I enjoyed my time there very much. I'd be okay moving back there down the road. Also, I doubt you want state fans to change their allegiance anyways.. How would you be able to throw jabs at us if none of us existed anymore??
I refer you back to the list you provided the other day where you missed on 4/7 recruits (including your top 2) you said were headed to Oxford. You did surprise me with AJ. though. I would advise not to be so confident with your MS recruits next year! With regards to the series record getting larger, you are probably right there! Haha
We definitely wanted him, regardless of what anyone says. As far as him "mossing our DB's" whatever that means, I'm hoping he doesn't get held up by the other 27 4* receivers on the roster. He is a stud, but is he more of a stud than the others already there and the ones joining him? I don't know. A lot of talent in Oxford for Shea to spread the love to in a few years, but I have a feeling some of these guys aren't gonna appreciate the love they gettin'. AJ would have been Mr. go-to in starkville; maybe, maybe not so much in Oxford! That receiving core will be entertaining nonetheless!
I'm gonna remind you of this list in 2 days. Contrary to my name, I am a supporter of Ole Miss as well (since I am at your medical school and have split ties), I just side with State more. Not arguing with your list; just curious to see how good your sources are compared to others.
Not sure if treadwell was left off because he is hurt, but that kid can play. His impact was as much as anybody else in college football. Future stud... And I don't even like ole miss
Was this the result of dan trying to run the bus up the middle on ole miss?
All of my ole miss friends and classmates hype this game among themselves just as much as we do. Quit lying.
He said that the D did a lot of good stuff, but that those big plays hurt. What is he supposed to say? "We sure played amazing. I don't know how the score ended up being 31-17. " and he took the blame for the offensive woes in the game, especially the late non-scoring.
Kicker. I can't remember a time we didn't hold our breath kicking
