Jarrett Lee was the starter in the 2011 game. Yes Jefferson came in and won the game but Lee was the starter.
I think Lance Heard will be one of those transfers that do well. He only left LSU because that OL is stacked. He's a top OL and will succeed at UT.

This year is reminding me a lot of 2002. Bad loss to another P5 team to start. Team bounces back decently and has a chance to go to the SEC Championship only to lose it late.
First game between LSU and UT since 2010? Nope, they've played twice since then. Once in 2011 which LSU won 38-7 and again in 2017, the monsoon game that LSU won 30-10.
I've never heard of someone able to turn something down they were never offered in the first place. This is pretty incredible.
