I learned a lot this season. Tennessee had the scheme…for everyone but Georgia. Ohio State had the scheme and the players and it showed. TCU: we’ll see. But I think Georgia’s best defense against these prolific offenses is that they have one themselves. Long gone is the narrative that Kirby can’t win a shootout. Buckle up, y’all. Go Dawgs!

And the overarching story here is that the football programs of segregated universities got significantly better when Black players/students were admitted. Ignoring that not only ignores the work and talents of those players, but it sheds accountability from the universities and systems that discriminated against them in the first place.
