Honestly can you really blame OSU for not scheduling tougher teams in the non-con? I certainly don't. Scheduling multiple tough non-conference games in my mind is stupid. At the end of the day, the committee is going to be more impressed with an undefeated record than a tougher strength of schedule. Not that that makes it fair, but as Tupac said, "that's the way it is."

@virtualkelly - these guys don't get under my skin at all. Of course I'd love to win an SEC Championship Game or beat Georgia. However, that doesn't mean I won't have fun trolling Georgia who can't even make it to the SEC Championship Game after beating us 34-0. I'd much rather get blown out by Georgia and lose in the SEC Championship game because Georgia boned an easy game than beat Georgia and not make it to the title game at all.

@DD2 I find it hilarious that you want to criticize Mizzou for losing their biggest games. Georgia doesn't even qualify for the big games because they can't take care of business against bad teams. I'd much rather lose a big game than fail to make it in the first place.

Good point. You got me there. I just looked at Georgia's schedule. Its even better for Mizzou! Georgia beats Mizzou to go into first in the east after losing to South Carolina. Mizzou wins the rest of their SEC games like last year. Georgia gets blown out by Auburn. Mizzou goes to SEC Championship. Presto!

What's there to laugh at? Georgia could easily get into the Championship game if they didn't lose winnable games. Mizzou has deserved both of their SEC Championship Game appearances just as much as Alabama and Auburn did when we played them there. I could care less whether we get skunked by Georgia. So long as we win more SEC games than they do, I'll smile ear to ear.

I wouldn't call it "backing in." Its not Mizzou's fault Georgia annually craps their pants against lesser ranked teams. I'm not so delusional to think that we are better than Georgia head to head. But fortunately for me, Mizzou doesn't have to be better head-to-head against Georgia to make it to the title game. The most fun I have as a Mizzou fan is trolling the rest of the SEC.

Ah, can't wait to lose at Georgia only to have Georgia lay an egg against South Carolina and another team they should probably beat. Hehehe.

I was a big James Franklin fan and greatly appreciated his steadiness. Mauk is incredibly talented and has a great arm. He's a playmaker. But I'm so risk averse. Mauk makes watching games nerve wracking. I hope that he solves his problem of spinning to his left out of the pocket this year and avoids those high risk throws.

As a Mizzou fan, I'm totally over the "respect" thing. We sound like a bunch of whiners by continuing to bring it up. I kind of wish Pinkel would say "next question" as he continues to get asked by it.
