Miller didn't seem a realistic option; McMahon was a want, and not sure why the Brinks truck wasn't backed up for him. My guess would be more BOT drama than Ray. Easy to pile on Ray, but Beamer was a risky move that seems to be paying off. Ray knows a bit more of what he is doing than rando twitter commentators, IMO.
Perhaps Paris was not the top choice; however, I don't consider it settling. There is a lot to like here if you give him proper inspection. I myself like taking well-researched chances over retreads. Paris is a player's coach, similar in certain respects to Beamer. I like the hire.
