Nothing to do with this article, but I think we need to start a campaign to push for Derek Dooley at Bama
I'm neither an Alabama fan nor a Georgia fan, and personally wished there was a way they could both have lost. Having said that, they are the two best teams in the country. Georgia will embarrass Florida state, and Bama will embarrass Michigan before going on to be the National Champs beating Texas. Place your bets.
I bleed orange, but my Vols better bring their A game Saturday night, and Neyland needs to be rocking. Rattler is playing as well as any QB in the country in my opinion. Give him a little time to throw, and he will pick us apart. We need to rattle Rattler all game or this could be ugly. Go Vols!
I've been wrong so much this year, who knows. Having said that, Georgia should embarrass Ohio state. I can't wait to see. Ummm...Go Dawgs...uggh...i just threw a little bit
nothing to do with this article, but I have to ask. what am i missing with this playoff stuff? why does everyone seem to believe that Tennessee's playoff hopes are dependent upon what TCU does? Ohio State and Michigan, two top four teams, play; SPOILER ALERT, one of them is going to lose. As long as Tennessee wins out, how does a one loss Ohio state or one loss Michigan get in over a one loss Tennessee? Not to mention, Tennessee's one loss is to the number one ranked team in the nation. Strength of schedule and quality wins speak for themselves. Again, what am I missing? Definitely not an expert on this stuff, but I'm just applying rational thinking...I think
those question marks were laughing faces when i posted it...point is your post cracked me up. thanks.
i'm man enough to say boy was I wrong. First, Georgia is better than I thought. Having said that, the crowd noise from the home field advantage caused us to shoot ourselves in the foot many times like Alabama did at Tennessee, and I don't believe our guys were ready to be on that end of the crowd noise. I do hope that we make it to the playoffs and get the match up again. I'd love to see how it plays out on a neutral field. Go Vols!
i'm predicting some hilarious commercials. GO VOLS!
the shock is in the win by three touchdowns. everyone seems to think this is a 3 to 10 point game. I don't. we shall see very soon.
Georgia, I do not believe, will hold Tennessee to less than 40. The question is can Tennessee's defense hold Georgia to less. I believe they can and they will. I'm expecting Tennessee to shock a lot of people on Saturday. My fearless prediction Tennessee 42, Georgia 21. Right or wrong, I pray all the kids are healthy when the game ends. Go Vols!
you should read up on the incident. who wouldn't smash a drunk barging into your home uninvited? I would probably have shot him. with or without McCollough, Tennessee still would have destroyed Kentucky. maybe next year
Obviously, none of us know. That's why they play the game, but since everyone is sharing their thoughts...yes, I think this will be the game. Tennessee 42 Georgia 21
Absolutely! In September, I had Tennessee 9-3 at worst and 10-2 at best. Two of the losses, in my mind, were always Bama and Georgia. If we had the 3rd loss, I thought it would have been to LSU. They've proven me wrong so far. A win against Georgia is just a bonus in my book. If we lose, it was expected. I like the direction the Vols are going in. The future looks outstanding.
If Tennessee starts out fast with two or three touch downs in the first quarter, Kentucky gets out of their game plan of slowing it down with the run and starts panicking to match our touchdowns and mistakes will be made. If this happens, Tennessee wins by two touchdowns at least. However, if we don't start out fast allowing Kentucky to stick to the game plan of running and playing keep away, it will be a barn burner with me yelling at the tv. Start fast, keep Hooker safe and upright, and Tennessee wins.
couldn't agree more. I've said that since September; we better be ready for Kentucky. With Levis, Kentucky is a legit team. Without him, though, they're just kind of middle of the road. Go Vols!
Any weekend that Tennessee wins and Florida loses is a good weekend. Alabama being at the other end of Tennessee's win is an awesome bonus.
I'm thankful the talk is almost over (for this game). Let the cards fall where they may. I'm ready for a good game and pray players on both sides stay safe and healthy. Go Vols!
spot on...couldn't agree more and 8-4 is a good season from where we've been, and should only be the beginning
I'll take it. If we're undefeated when we come to Georgia, I'll take it! I'm not saying we will win all of our games, but every game is winnable in my opinion except for the Georgia game. We aren't there yet...yet.
