They should be because this is an absolute garbage hire. Especially in a year where you had so many good choices (Chadwell, Napier, Sarkisian, Campbell, Freeze, Monken etc. etc.). Honestly they would have been better off keeping Muschamp. This guy will only ensure 2-3 wins a year.

Actually he wasn't even an OC, he was a WR coach. However, Dabo Swinney is the exception, not the rule. If you don't agree then feel free to provide some examples of previous coaches who haven't held any sort of coordinator position and have had success in college as a head coach. I'll save you the time...there aren't many if ANY. It's this kind of thinking that leads to bad hires. More often than not you need to go with a proven winner. Chadwell has Coastal Carolina in the top 15. I'll say that again...Coastal. Carolina. In. The. Top. 15. Again though, I don't really care because it's pretty fun watching Tanner make failed hire after failed hire.

He hasn't been a head coach or a coordinator? Even under his own dad? Wow. When you have guys like Chadwell, Napier and Sarkisian in the running, the fact that THIS is their leading candidate just speaks further to the stupidity of the South Carolina AD.
