He would be dynamite at Cincy. Tons of talent in Ohio/Michigan, and he would get it. Osu would definitely take a hit popularity wise. He's a draw.
That was an entertaining football game. Congrats to the Hogs, and Cincy no reason to hang your heads. They may win the rest of their games on out, and probably could have won that one with a little better passing.
He'll thrive at Cincy. Fickell hired away the Central Michigan offensive line coach who is outstanding.
Give Saban his due, he doesn't miss a lot with any opponent when he's given a month to prepare. Cincy just couldn't give the qb enough time. My guess is Saban will take another title.
Fickell is a hard core competitor. You watch videos of his wrestling career or his playing career at Ohio St., and one thing in common. He brings it.
Marcus Freeman's promotion just got expedited.
Lee Corso is like your old uncle you have to pickup and bring over for the holidays. He's way past done, but he's a fixture. I believe he also put on the OSU head. As always, Lee is a dollar late and more than a few dollars short.
Offer it to Marcus Freeman. Maybe they'll get him second go round.
Fickell has/had better teams at Cincy than anything in the Pac12. The number of coaches who will leave the south and midwest to coach in the Pac12 is basically a group of wounded ducks.
If Dennis Dodd is the source then there is a very, very low probability of it happening.
It will be dismissed by most, but the southern Ohio and Indiana region is flush with football talent. There are SEC teams pulling kids from that area, but it definitely would not hurt having teams playing there regularly. It's also a very easy city to travel to. You have to give Luke Fickell credit, he's demonstrated very quickly just how much talent is there when you look at his roster. They were not pushed around by Georgia last year at all. They've got ND and IU this year so it will be interesting to see how they stack up in those road games. Talent is king.
