Sounds to me like you're a little envious. "Boring" is the same uniform pattern we see with 99.9% of every collegiate team in America with the team name blasting across the front of the jersey, numbers on the shoulder pads and stripes across the sleeves. I'll always take the originality of Alabama and Penn State's uniforms over the similarity of nearly every other cfb uniform in America - as will most others who don't play Alabama regularly and thus have no problems giving them credit where it's due.
