This is the rationale for not quitting before the last game of their college career. Which game is really "meaningless?" Any athlete can get hurt permanently in any game/match and at any time. The odds don't go up that a student athlete will be injured in their bowl game. Booches made a comment on the Pollack article about the culture of the program impacting the decisions kids make. I agreed.

Perfect comment by Booches- makes total sense. One has to understand that decisions aren't made in a vacuum by these kids. The influence of the program and the school (their teammates, coaches, classmates) has to impact their decisions in some way. The culture at the OUs, Iowa States is- like Breece Hall at ISU stated- a five star culture. That impacts the decisions kids make.
