Even in the USA, corporations, large business, labor and Wall Street have all taken a pandemic seriously. Nations around the world have also experienced large death counts, and scientists around the world have a cooperative effort to find a treatment and develop a vaccine. I'm so glad that you've brought up Christian values. Jesus, whom we call the Christ, calls Christians to follow Him. According to each Gospel, Jesus welcomes prostitutes, lepers, Samaritans, the blind, the lame and Roman tax collectors into a new community that religious people--in His time--reject as sinners. So, we Christians today, who claim to follow Him, are called to welcome persons whom others still are discriminating against. Be careful about calling persons against discrimination liberal fascists, or you may applying that derogatory label to the Son of God. These are the facts: Jesus ate and drank with sinners, and religious leaders convinced the political leaders to crucify Him, i.e., sentence Him to capital punishment and execute Him. So, the liberal fascists appear to be Trump and his followers, as history remembers Hitler and Mussolini. Hitler executed homosexuals, the mentally and physically handicapped, gypsies and, of course, Jews. Esec, Jesus, the Christ, the Son of God, always reaches out to welcome the marginalized, i.e., the alien, the foreigner, the infirmed, the lost, the sexually misunderstood and those hated bureaucrats who collect taxes. So, yes, those who defend the outcasts of accepted society are following Jesus, even if they don't know it.
