UGARMYRet. I am not a UGa fan or a Bama fan, just a SEC sports fan. UGa was screwed in this game and the outcome of the game was decided by the officials, not the players. Until the officials are held to the standards that the players are (who are mostly teenagers, or early teens), it will not get better. Officials should be evaluated by an independent agency and rewarded or penalized accordingly. I am getting tired of watching college sporting events decided by the officials, instead of the athletes.

SevenT, actually the official got his feeling hurt because he offered to help Benny Snell Jr. up after he was hit by 7 players, including out of bounds, and Benny refused his help. The "contact" the official claimed was initiated by the official. NCAA officials are really bad in all conferences, but this call was one of the worst ever. Announcers usually support the refs decisions. In this case it was pretty much unanimous that it was a ridiculous call. No one said he was paid off, he is just incompetent.

Hey BamaTIme, its easy to say others are crying foul when your team was given the National Championship this year by the officials. If every team got your calls, no one would complain. I really didn't care who won, as long it was a Sec team, but I want the players to decide the game, not the officials. Apparently, as long as Bama wins you don't care how the game is called. Barnhart was right to call out the officials in the ejection of Benny Snell Jr. If the same thing had happened to a Bama player there would have been a riot.
