Fantastic game! It was a great watch from beginning to end. This was a really good win for the Tide. They played an outstanding game, making the plays they needed when it counted most. Now for the home team...Go Vols!
You might be surprised how well those hillbilly boosters support UT athletics.
Texas wasn't built to take over the Big 12, it was built to take over the SEC. So that's why they have only won three 12 Big championships in the past 25 years. It's all making sense now. Excellent article, so enlightening!
"Texas couldn’t consistently be at the top of the Big 12" 3 Big 12 championships in the last 25 years...and they are coming to the SEC to dominate?
I agree with your post except I don't see Florida being a lateral move from Ole Miss (IMHO). I'm a Vol fan, and don't like'm, but Florida is a destination job for any coach.
I wouldn't be surprised if he's not the next coach in Gainesville. I've thought that for some time.
Imagine a 3 loss Alabama team in 2024. Imagine the agony of the fan base Imagine the questions that will surround the soundness of the of the hire Imagine the doubts Imagine the pressure on the new head coach Imagine the Tide losing 3 games, and all the ssh!tshow that follows
Agreed. Nobody is qualified to replace Saban. I think though that Smart at Georgia had closed the gap and NIL was closing it between Saban and everybody else. I don't think what Saban did can be duplicated in today's college environment (even by Saban). I think the expectations will be duplication and that won't end well.
Saban's retirement could well be the tipping point that secures 2025 ***** QB George MacIntyre commitment to Tennessee. I have been reading he was down to Bama and UT.
This comment nails it: "making nearly as much as Saban and in the ACC" Why in the world would he give that up to follow a GOAT in the SEC?
Kirby has brought the Dawgs to new heights and is loved there...wouldn't be appreciated in Tuscaloosa

Congratulations to the best coach to ever coach the game. As a Vol fan I'm glad he's gone. Saban set an unbelievably high bar (what he accomplished was amazing). I think Alabama will now be at risk for self-destruction from too high of expectations. How many times have you seen instability follow a great program after the departure of a great coach?
I'm a Vol fan to the core but have incredible respect for what this man accomplished. I would hate to be the coach who tries to replace him. I expect there to a lot of turmoil that follows the next several coach's hereafter. Bama fans are spoiled.
I agree. I think Mark Stoops is an incredible coach. What he has done at Kentucky is similar to what Spurrier did at Duke years ago.
I think you're dead on. CFB is always changing, and if you aren't adapting then you're gonna fall behind. I never understood why T&AM put all their chips in on Jimbo anyway. It's not like he had a Nick Saben track record when they hired him.
