Do you think Rutgers which is in New Jersey is a geographical fit for the big 10? Maryland too? Also, look at other conferences. Louisville is in the ACC and nowhere near the Atlantic Coast. West Virginia is racking up sky miles because they're nowhere near their conference mates in the big 12. Lousville is about 500 miles from the Atlantic coast but the kids in Boulder, Colorado are about 1,000 miles from the Pacific coast. It's not about geography, it's about tv markets.
The quantity and quality of research UGA puts out greatly surpasses that of AAU schools Iowa, Oregon, and Michigan State but there is a bias against Southern schools and Religious schools. Notice the conspicuous absence of Georgetown, Notre Dame, Boston College, BYU, Baylor, and Wake Forrest.
The weather conditions weren't very good against USC jr. Let's put Auburn's kicker in some rain and see how many he misses given he went 0-3 from 40 on a clear, dry day.
Written by an Auburn alum. Look, if you're going to talk about defense then you should probably compare FG kickers. Auburn's kicker went 0-3 from 40 yards out in his last outing whereas Georgia's kicker holds the Rose Bowl Record, knocked 4 in his last outing, and went 2/3 from 40 yards out. The line is less than a field goal and I like our kicking legs better than yours.
