3 takeaways from Georgia’s wild comeback bid coming up short at Alabama
Should of never needed to comeback late. They let them back into it. Bama is has too much talent to allow themselves to do that again and expect to get away with it.
If it was the other way around and Georgia was up 30-7 at the half. Absolutely no shot smart would allow the the to fall asleep in the 2nd half like Bama did.
Bama did not deserve to win this game. Way to soft and relax in the second half and almost paid for it. We saw in real time the difference between a good coach (DeBoer) and a great coach (Smart).
Man, he really doesn't want this job.
The guy in his basement could probably do a better job than your dumbass
Strickland is just as much to blame both should be fired together. He had to make a hire that would save his job and he picks this idiot out of the sun belt
Strickland and Napier should be fired at the same time. Strickland knew this hire would determine his job and he picked an idiot out of Louisiana
Too bad we can't get a better coach
Can't wait for a DIFFERENT coach
It's not a matter of if it's when. There is not shot in hell he survives going into the Georgia game.
Man he really dosent want this job does he
Just for reference in the 2020 cotton bowl florida got annihilated by Oklahoma. The team was without Kyle Pitts, kadarious tones, two starting wideouts and many others. Mullen was criticized after the game saying that wasn't the "real gators team out there." So how come all of the sudden florida state gets a pass. You either acknowledge the blow out was because of opt outs or say it was because the better team won you can't do both.
What a joke like I said just proved to everyone he can't coach and can't recruit in the sec and is out of his depth
Strickland is just as guilty agreed dude is more focused on making the bottom line than actually wanting to win
The only reason people are somehow still hopeful and optimistic about Napier is that he is quote an "elite recruiter." Well where was that today. The decommitments the transfers where is that elite level talent acquisition we were apperantly guaranteed for with Napier. The truth is now Napier has proven he can't coach and now can't recruit in the sec and belongs back in the sun belt. There is nothing left protecting him from a pink slip now.
So ok the one saving grace and hope for Napier is that he is an elite recruiter. Well now what? Now we're number 10 in the country while fsu and Miami have blown past us. His recruiting is at the same level it was as muschamp or hell even mullen after 2018. He's not better. And he's done nothing better since becoming head coach. With this recruiting class sliding what is defense left for cutting bait and firing him
Thank God this is the last year of the 4 team because this just shows how much this dosent work. It's a travesty that because of the system fsu and Georgia are not getting a chance for the national championship
I hate Florida State with a burning passion as a gator fan. But this is atrocious. I'm not mad at the selection because honestly they are the right decisions but more mad at this system. 4 teams is clearly not enough FSU and Georgia would be in no problem and settle this on the field as it should be.
Why are we left dealing with an idiot whose apperantly learning on the job instead of an actual coach. Imagine if you had a Ferrari and gave the keys to the valet and he said he's learning to drive. Would you feel good about what he's going to do with that car?
Guys... come on. can we just cut to the chase and fire Napier he is clearly not the guy dude can't coach out of a paper bag. Negative yards of total offense in the final quarter where fsu was doing everything possible to hand the game away and we gave it right back to them. Another game where Napier can make a statement and silence doubters and once again blows it. Solely on the fact that the gators are their own worst enemy and can't get out of their own way
My honest opinion he's got half of next season to prove everybody wrong. If he goes into Georgia with a losing record again its likely lights out for him. And again looking at how tough that schedule is seems like the most likely option.
Guys let's be real... it's not going to get any better for florida. Do you really think with that schedule next year that Napier a guy who has found more ways to lose games then win them and has consistently had the team played down to worst teams can win 6 or 7 games? Napier is a great recruiter but lowsy coach who is clearly in way over his head
Even as a die hard gator the Georgia overreaction is as big as they come.
Speaking as die hard gator. Yeah this documentary was disappointing. If your a gator fan you'll love it. If not there's not much here.
