Ole Miss fans and especially Judkins teammates are ecstatic that this cancer has been removed from our team and our locker room. Not one teammate out of 85 wanted him back, especially his O Line. Lane finally listened to the team and got rid of him. Look at all the tweets from Jaxon Dart and other teammates. Dart had to actually call a timeout in 3rd quarter of the Peach Bowl to plead with Lane to get Judkins off the field (widely publicized and on video). Ole Miss backup, Bentley was injured and unavailable, so Lane played a walk-on. Bently had 5.7 yards/carry this season, while Judkins digressed from 5.6 npc in 2022 to only 4.3 this year. Judkins is a 1st round talent, but just watch. He won't go in top 5 rounds next year. Talented RBs with bad attitudes are not welcome in NFL. OSU fans: save this post and you'll see in a little over a year. Actually I'll be surprised if your great program puts up with him that long. Ole Miss (as a TEAM) is much better now than the day before Quinshon hit the portal. Saying that was a mutual parting of the ways is a huge understatement.
You're right.... Egg is always unpredictable and upsets do happen. One thing for certain is that Ole Miss clearly has the better team now after weathering the NCAA penalties for past four years. One year ago State had a lot more talent than OM and preseason was picked by every publication to have the stronger team. After one year of Leach and Kiffin, that has totally flip-flopped. That's not my opinion; just look at how different ALL the preseason polls and publications are from one year ago. ;)
It is a fierce rivalry. BTW... I go every year and it has not been on any day other than Turkey Day in past decade or so. There was a rumor a couple years ago that they might move it to Sat, but that never happened.
Gromit.... you're out of your mind if you think the Gators have played as tough a schedule as Ole Miss, the only team in America with NINE quadrant one wins so far, including taking a series from then #1 ranked Louisville. Ole Miss started the season outside the Top 40 with Baseball America and barely ranked on the two other polls which is reason they are not ranked higher now. Leading the nation with 31 homers. Tenn is second with 27.
Wrong, Bully. His stop at Bama was ultra-successful, as he increased the firepower of Bama's offense considerably. He was only at Bama for three seasons, but who can blame him for moving up to be a head coach again? FAU had never won more than three games in a season. They were 3-9 each of the previous three seasons. Lane won eleven games in season one and this season. UGADAWG (below post) is a total idiot thinking two 11 win seasons is a "complete failure". There is a reason that ALL of these articles rate the Kiffin hire as an A+. For you Tennessee fans, Kiffin greatly improved your program in that one year.... taking the Vols from 5-7 previous season to 7-5 and came within 3 points of beating Bama. He also recruited and left you with a Top 5 recruiting class as freshmen. No question he left the program MUCH better than he found it.
