Looks like Chad Kelley's invite got "lost in the mail."
Georgia - has QB. Florida - QB TBD. Unless Fla comes hot out of the gates with a new QB to put those receivers to use, Ga clearly has the upper hand going into the season. Tennessee? Tennessee is fk'd. Lol
Eh, at this point, the one thing we know for sure is Ole Miss isn't leaving any players out to dry.
Did not pay out of pocket for that vehicle. Saying this as someone that knows him personally btw. But hey, he deserved it. But no one would believe he went to bama for a car, and he didn't. But people only think that way about ole miss because it doesn't have the same blue blooded football history. Alabama is institutionally protected from that kind of criticicism because of that. No doubt Alabama has a lot to offer to a kid looking for a route to the NFL. That's why he came, all that other stuff came later. Just the school taking care of their kids, as they should, (am I the only one that thinks that? Idk). Do you honestly think that if an Alabama player went to a coach and said look I need 300$ for my mom, they're about to cut her power, no one would help them out? They'd do the exact same thing. The thing is, zero offenses the NCAA is charging us with ever won us a recruit, won us a game, or gave us any sort of edge in anyway. Alabama didn't get beat because Tunsil kept a rental car too long. Hell. He was our best player at the time and he didn't even play that game. You guys have had the number 1 recruiting class 7 years in a row now, had more talent on the field, and the rag tag rebels put y'all in the dirt, twice. Say what you want, but they didn't win for any underhanded reason, didn't cheat, they won because they believed in the program that freeze brought them in to be a part of. It's not your fault though, you just don't really understand the culture in oxford, don't think the tradition runs as deep. You're not alone though. Its a common ignorance that lots of Alabama fans are practically born with to think that the Tide is it and no other school has anything to offer. so if a kid doesn't go to Bama, either bama didn't have room on the roster, or someone else is cheating. If a kid goes to ole miss they got paid, but if they go to to bama it's because they want to roll with the Tide! That would be incorrect, it's ok buddy, you can admit that's what you think. But just to make things interesting, if you can come up with a legitimate argument outside of "your logic is flawed" I will personally mail you a check for 1000$ in the mail. (Sorry I can't even help myself. I'm an ole miss grad, and I just love paying people out haha).
lol I'm not insinuating anything. I'm telling you flat out. Derrick Henry .
It's pretty logical if you're the kind of person that thinks logically. Really more of a compliment to Alabama as an institution. More football history than any other college, no question, "Alabama is the pinnacle of college football and you've got the chance to be part of that history". That's the narrative. And there's not much arguing saban is a better football mind, not my point, but when it comes to recruiting, they are both salesmen and it's a hell of a lot easier to come in and sell the Alabama narrative than it is the Ole Miss narrative "We were great in the 60's and now we're back on the rise!" Ever heard the expression "He could sell a ketchup popsicle to a woman in white gloves."? Freeze is that guy. Saban might as well be selling a Klondike Bar. With every conceivable edge Bama has over Ole Miss, last year the class saban signed was only 4 spots ahead of Hugh Freeze. So yea, there's an argument there. And Impermissible benefits are a moot point. Like I said, Derrick Henry didn't pay for that brand new Tahoe with his monthly stipend. And the rental the NCAA tagged Tunsil for was like a fking Impala. No body's committing anywhere over a fking Chevy impala.
Point being you don't really know what you're talking about. To be honest I'd venture to say Hugh Freeze is a better recruiter than Saban. Getting recruits to go to Alabama? His job is practically done for him. And before you say anything else about impermissible benefits, please tell me how Derrick Henry paid for that 2015 Tahoe he rolled around T Town in, with his monthly Stipend, and Kenyan Drake bought his brand new, green Dodge Charger with the money he saved for college. Please.
I'm sure, given the same position anyone here would do the same thing, but let's be honest, he's never going to make it past practice squad. Every year for the past four "this is gonna be Tennessee's year." But it wasn't. Because Dobbs could never break through from pretty good to great. Media needed a story bc no one in the east was worth talking about.
17th in SEC history? Uhhhh mark that under who cares.
