He already picked Tennessee and you think he left because "with Fromm leaving he doesn't like the chances of UGA making it to a championship"? That's laughable. If he expected to compete for a championship, he wouldn't have stayed in Athens this long. With the recruiting violations they just had to pay 10k for, coupled with the recruit last year that tweeted that he was planning to go elsewhere until "coach came through with that bag", the fact that recruits are giving the dumbest reasons imaginable for choosing to play at Georgia (daycare, really?) over 10 other schools that would benefit them more, and the fact that everyone wants to go to Athens until they get there, then they can't get out fast enough, I'd say they've got some really bad news coming soon. Recruiting violations, sanctions, post-season ban (not that they usually win those anyways). I have a pretty good idea this is just the beginning in Athens. A lot of info is going to be coming out soon and it'll be a while before Georgia recovers from it. Give it a couple of weeks and you'll see...
haha...Fromm has nothing to do with Grantham staying. A Florida fan comes to this article and says nothing but positive things about your QB (when there's a lot of negative to be said) and you still can't help yourself but to try to take a jab at Florida in your response. That's just further proof that beating Florida is all that matters to Georgia fans and it's gonna be that much better when Florida reclaims the top spot in the SEC East and sends Georgia back to fighting Tennessee for 2nd place. Try to have a little class. It's a heated rivalry, but Kirby's time of living off of his recruiting covering up his inability to out-coach anyone with comparable talent is coming to an end soon and your fall from the top is gonna be a tough one for you. Another year or 2, you'll be first in line demanding Kirby be fired.
I'd say Georgia will try to get someone out of the portal. Kirby, say what you want about Florida, but if Georgia were to get King, storyline alone, it would make the Florida-Georgia game that much more interesting considering Trask was his backup in high school.
only in recruiting....he can't close a season strong to save his life
They're like every other coach in the world. They coach at rival schools, so they're rivals, but away from cameras they're both parts of the same fraternity that is college football in the SEC. Even Steve Spurrier and Phil Fulmer were friendly (and still are) off the field and I'm not sure any 2 coaches hated each other more than they did. As for having a lake house in Georgia...does it really matter if the Head Coach at Florida owns property in the state of Georgia? These guys are multi-millionaires and it should be no surprise that a lot of them own property in other states. A lot of wealthy people up north own property in the south where they prefer to spend their winters..and these guys are not just rich, they're famous, too...I wouldn't fault either of them for finding a relaxing place out of state to spend time with the family, on a lake, by the beach, or in the mountains somewhere.
A one-loss SEC team is undeniably in better position than a one-loss team from any other conference. We'll know if 2 SEC teams are getting in by the outcomes of 3 games: Florida/Georgia, LSU/Bama, SEC Championship.
