I cannot believe that a high school coach would have allowed this to happen. Question is, what were the coach's actions after this incident? Did he immediately pull the players and send them to the locker room? Did he pull them for one play, or make them sit out just that game. I know the players have now been removed from the team, but what happened immediately after the play, and what led up to them attacking the ref? Did the coach have any part in what happened? I played high school football, and have friends who played college and professional football, so I know that no player does anything on the field without the coach's knowledge and approval. That is, unless the player wants to end his player career before it get started. The last question I have is, what is being done with their coach? If he did not know this was going to happen, then nothing should be done, but is he had any type of knowledge, then he needs to go.
You must be one of those dimwits who laugh every time an opposing player gets carted off the field, right?
Don't know what you live, but it's assault and battery everywhere else. There is no law that says you have to actually be looking at your attacker for it to be assault.
