Where has this gotten Boise St. They are still in the group of 5. Do you view them as a power? UCF is the 2nd largest school. Located in Florida. 2 and 3 star players in Florida can be as good as 4 star kid elsewhere. UCF is expanding their stadium. Top 10 3 times in 6 years. How about Florida? Phantom top 10 this year. Over rated. Top 10s the last 5 years?
If the Gators wanted to play UCF they would have asked the committee to do it. The Peach Bowl folks were all for it because turnout was great against Auburn. No one heard anything from Florida until Milton got hurt. The backup Mack would thrash Florida. Florida has been playing football for 130 years and had NO success for 90 plus years. Have you ever looked at the history. You had an excellent 20 year run and 100 years of mediocrity. 6 years UCF has 3 BCS bowl appearances and 4 conference championships. Only 22 years in D1. What you want to say is go sit in the back of the bus. Go to the kids table. Your conference is Alabama, Georgia right now, but the rest have interchangeable success and most have never even won a conference championship in 50 years. When has Ole Mis, Miss. St, Vanderbilt, Kentucky ever been relevant? Stricklin is a fing liar.
Olballcoach you sound like a gator fan from Groveland doing his best to troll the knights still wearing blue jorts and an orange tank top. What does the fact that the Knights who were a mac conference team in 04 playing in the dumpy citrus bowl have to do with anything in 2018. Theyve played on campus since 07 15 miles outside of downtown. Make no mistake about it LSU and Ga are the only teams UCF wants in a bowl game. Anything less would be a dissapointment.
Haha!!Great answer UK! They were up by 18 the whole game and quit trying to score in the 4th. Is UCF supposed to run up the score on Navy on Veterans Day weekend?
Gators shouldnt talk right now. A 20 point loss and a 21 point shellacking going down at home. Milton would shred Florida's secondary. I hoped UCF would play Florida, but at this rate the Gators will play USF in the Gasparilla Bowl.
Group of 5 teams have been highly succesful in NY6 bowl games in the past 5-6 years. UCF 2-0, Houston 1-0 and Boise State. Look for the trend to continue with UCF or Houston.
Thats insane to include Florida, A&M and Kentucky. We've seen Florida get beat by 20, Florida getting it handed to them by Missouri, Kentucky squeaking by Missouri and getting beat bad by GA.A&M cant beat anyone. UCF would throw 50 on Florida, A&M or Kentucky. The defense is not good but gets turnovers and the offense is as talented as anyone outside of Tua. UCF or Houston will defeat their SEC opponent in the NY6 bowl.
UCF scheduled pitt and nc when nc was a conference champ and pitt was an 8 game winner. Cant help they are average acc teams. With the exception of the Memphis game a 1 point win, all games have been 20 point wins including the annhililation of Pitt. Memphis had a 12 game win streak at home and had beaten 4 top 25 teams in a row at home. And Herbstreits team is going down and UCF would love to play them in a New Years 6. UCF by 27 tonight without Milton. If winning 20 in a row is so easy how come these teams in these so called crummy conferences arent always doing it.
Unfortunately UCF did not qualify for your crappy bowl game but Memphis our runner up would wax you too. Why dont you play them. See you in Atlanta. Auburn favored by 9.5. Must seem low to you because they beat you by I cant remember how much. 2nd BCS bowl in 5 years. BTw undefeated in any conference is not easy. Kannell was spot on.
Why all of the jealousy towards UCF. UCF has been a D-1 school since 96 and has posted a Fiesta Bowl victory and is headed to the Peach Bowl if they win the next 2. State has been around for 100 years and has only one conference title at the start of WW2 and a division title 20 years ago. What big bowl victories can you claim in the last 30 years. Sorry that UCF has had great success in every conference they have been in. Why shouldn't they be in the SEC and take Vanderbilts sad spot. No one says you don't have a pretty good team, but to slam an upstart team is unbelievable. Victories against Memphis, Navy ranked 25th at one time, USF-3 losses in the past 2 years, and against Memphis again, would be a solid year. Any body can play ranked teams and lose. But now that there are 4 losses I guess it doesn't matter.
You have never seen UCF play. Im fact Memphis could beat most of those teams. UCF is 1-0 against Alabama and 1-1 against Georgia, the loss by 1 point on a bad call. An FCS school beat LSU. Come om, A &M is mediocre, the coach is gettimg fired and Kentucky is terrible. Memphis or UCF will play Georgia in the Peach Bowl and we will see then. Most of the team are Freshmen and Sophomores. They are stacked next year. Big time cred to Alabama, Georgia and Auburn, but everyone else in the league is very beatable and the same can be said everywhere in College.
