What a poorly written article. While a totally agree that LSU outplayed UCF today, the logic behind many of the points made in this piece are just plain stupid. “Gifting” points? Give me a break. If we use that logic, CFB as a whole would be much different because every mistake ever made would be considered a “gift”. By this same logic, would a UCF WR dropping a wide open TD not be considered a “gift”? Or their QB overthrowing a wide open WR in the end zone? Also, you continuously harped on LSU’s missing starters and how much it would have impacted the game to have them back, but only in passing mention that UCF was without its Heisman candidate QB, which surely would have made their offense more potent. Again, not disagreeing with the overall assessment of the game, but you could have at least attempted a decent article rather than an SEC fluff piece to give everyone warm fuzzies inside.
